The Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus, I need you.

Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  I confess my sins to you.  I open the door of my life and receive You and my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life.  Take control of the throne of my life.  Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

Amen

How To Be Born Again

Dear friend:

Are you living an abundant life? Do you have peace in your heart?  Are you experiencing fulfillment? If you answered no to any of these questions, it's time you knew that you can have a personal relationship with God. It's a relationship that He wants to have with you! If you have never experienced the joy of living in the center of God's plan, there's no better time than right now to make a new start. It's as simple as unwrapping a gift.

All a person must do is admit to God that he/she is not perfect (Romans 3:23), in fact, that no one is perfect (Romans 3:10), except for God (1 Peter 1:19). But that leaves a problem. If God is perfect and we are not, then, how can we live with him in heaven? The Good News is that Jesus vouched for us when he went to the cross, died, and rose again and made us perfect in God's eyes (Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8-9, Isaiah 1:18). So if we admit we are not perfect, we must ask Jesus to vouch for us and to be the Lord of our lives (Romans 10:9-10) in order to enter heaven and live with Him eternally. God will always say YES to that prayer (Revelation 3:20), no matter how bad or unforgivable we think we are.

Would you like to pray that prayer and know TODAY that you have been forgiven, that you have a new friend that is "closer than a brother" (Proverbs 19:24), that you can begin experiencing the "abundant life," and that you can receive a one-way ticket to heaven that no one can take away (Romans 8:1)?  Then please pray the following prayer and mean it in your heart:

"Dear God, I know I am not perfect. The only person who ever lived a perfect life is Jesus. I know that good deeds or anything I can do will not bridge that gap between God and I. The only one who can is Jesus. And God, I pray that you will forgive the wrong things I've done called sins that make me not perfect in your eyes. I confess that I need Jesus to cover me with the blood he shed on the cross. I ask Jesus to be my Lord and come into my life.  Jesus, thank you for saving me and making a place for me in your Kingdom. Amen."

If you prayed that prayer, will you write, call or email me? I'd love to meet you and talk to you. I'd also like to invite you to take an Alpha Class with us, just for "new members of God's family," like you. Thank you my friend!

In Christ,
