Walgreen's Drug Stores have a goal of being within walking distance of everyone in America. That's a great goal. Ours is similar, but smaller. We want to be within walking distance of everyone in 61605.

We envision four Satellite Sites. One within walking distance of everyone in 61605. A Satellite Site is a place where a person can get a food basket, a warm coat, basic case management, a referral for another service, and most important, The Gospel.

Satellite Sites are staffed by volunteers from a local church, under the authority of South Side Mission. Ideally, Satellite Sites will be in Housing Projects, churches or other places.

Progress So Far:

In the fall of 2004, we opened our first Satellite Site, this one in Harrison Homes Housing Project. It is staffed by volunteers from Church of the Living God.

In August of 2008 we opened our second Satellite Site, this one in the RiverWest Housing Project.
